Trophy Presentation

PRESENTATION EVENING, PRIDE PARK DERBY
SP Racing attended the Derby Phoenix MCC 52nd annual dinner/dance presentation evening at Pride Park, Derby with Stu and Ady claiming their spoils for the season's racing. 
Stu presented by Steve Abbott and Jamie Biggs Along with the many other trophy winners the team rubbed shoulders with some of the sports biggest names. Castrol Honda team manager Neil Tuxworth introduced the evening with a light hearted speech and former British Superbike champion and last year's guest of honour John Reynolds was also in attendance to congratulate this year's successors. With special guests and World sidecar champions Steve Abbott and Jamie Biggs presenting the trophies a thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all. Ady claimed his novice championship trophies and became the first name on the F400 novice shield which will pass from champion to champion. Ady was also 4th in the main championship with 90 points. 3rd in the championship, with 93 points, was Dave Irons who was presented with the third place trophy and 2nd placed Richard Welsh, with 95 points, received the  runner up trophy. Winner of the Formula 400 championship with 111 points, Stu was presented with his champion's trophies and received the Spondon Engineering Trophy which carries many prestigious names of the past and dates back 30 years to 1973. The provisional dates and venues for the 2003 season were also announced at the function and again will see the team travel all across the country in search of more success to follow this season.
